Annual Community Picnic- Celebrate Brunswick! The Brunswick EDC hosts the annual Brunswick Community Picnic every year the last Saturday in June. This free event begins at 6:00PM in Square Corner Park. Festivities include: Grilled Cookout, Dessert, Brunswick Volunteer Fire Company & Ambulance Company Equipment Display, Live music, kid's activities, Brunswick Police department Bike Registration, Community Information Tent featuring community organizations GBACC, Main Street, Community Club House, WasteNot! Brunswick and more! Festivities are followed by a Movie In the Park, with free drinks and popcorn sponsored by Brunswick EDC.

Movies in the Park- Each year, families gather in Brunswick on summer evenings to enjoy movies on the big screen in Square Corner Park. The Movies in the Park program is free to all residents and visitors to the City of Brunswick and makes it possible for families to enjoy movies on a large screen with free popcorn and refreshments. Annually, the BEDC hosts approximately 300-500 guests to the Movies in the Park program. This year, the MIP program will be held on May 28th, June 25th, July 16th, August 20th and September 3rd. The movies start at dusk and are presented at Square Corner Park.

Brunswick Business Breakfast- Held the fourth Thursday of each month, the Brunswick Business Breakfast presents business topics of interest to citizens and businesses in the City of Brunswick. Topics and presenters have included Tourism in Frederick County, CSX Transportation, Transit Oriented Development, Brunswick Crossing update, SAIC Frederick, Fort Detrick Garrison Command, annual City of Brunswick State of the Union and our State Representative’s Maryland legislative session update. Breakfasts begin at 7:15 AM; the presentation will be from approximately 7:35 - 8:10 AM with a Q&A session to follow. As always, all are welcome to come early to network. The Brunswick Business Breakfast is a partnership between The EDC and GBACC.

Ribbon Cutting- If you open a new business we will arrive with ribbon and camera in hand to help you celebrate! We send the photos to the newspapers for you and can even write the press release.

Frederick County Business Appreciation Week- The Frederick County Office of Economic Development is hosting its 11th Annual Business Appreciation Week. We want to hear about your business, thank you for being here, identify any concerns or potential issues you might have and this year's event has a marketing twist--we also want to help market how fantastic your company is!
A small group of local ambassadors will make short visits lasting about 30-45 minutes to companies like yours all week long. Once Business Appreciation Week is over, the Office of Economic Development promotes your company using multiple media outlets and you're invited to attend our Annual Business Reception in November, the biggest Frederick County business networking event of the year.
